To avoid this, make sure to wash the towel separately before use. 2. Wash separately to prevent color transfer or fading. Washing with other items may cause dye transfer or discoloration. 3. Avoid high-temperature washing and drying. Excessive heat can damage the fabric and reduce the towel’s thick, soft texture. For best results, use lukewarm water, a mild detergent, and the delicate (wool) cycle. (Use the wool course with extra water if washing with a drum-type machine.) 4. Use a gentle spin cycle. Strong spinning may damage the towel's surface. Also, when using a dryer, avoid high heat and be sure to clean the lint filter thoroughly after use. 5. Avoid chlorine and oxygen-based bleach. These can alter the towel's color. Fabric softeners may coat the fibers, reducing absorbency and leaving residue that could irritate sensitive skin. 6. Do not use lint rollers or tape to remove dust. These can damage the towel’s fibers and cause pilling. 7. Do not leave damp towels in the washing machine. This can lead to hygiene issues. Always dry towels in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
